Teach me

how to obey

like the sun that rises

and sets each day,

Faithful in its rhythm,

never drifting

away.

Teach me

how to love

without fear

or doubt,

Like toddlers who hug

strangers with their arms

stretched

out.

Teach me

how to surrender

like the seasons

that change,

letting go

with grace

when life rearranges.

Teach me how to believe

like a young boy

in flight,

superhero at heart,

leaping tall heights.

Teach me how to hope

like a mother who fell,

Lost everything once but rose

from the swell.

Rebuilding her life

while chasing her dream,

Books in her arms

and faith in between.

Teach me that courage is quiet

and strong,

that rebuilding broken pieces still

makes a song.

And when life feels heavy and hard,

teach me, Lord,

how to anchor

how to live

in hope.
