Its Time to Live Freely

“You must master a new way to think before you can master a new way to be.” – Marianne Williamson

We are here one moment… and gone the next. Tomorrow is never promised to us, and therefore we must make the most of each day… living our lives with purpose, passion, and peace and love. Yet oftentimes, instead, we waste such precious life being captive to our own self-doubt and self-criticism, negative emotions, and the negative influences of others and the world around us– thoughts and emotions of fear, anger, resentment, confusion, and lack.

Life is entirely too short to waste even a moment on that which disrupts our solace and peace of mind and causes us pain and discontent. Remember this: you can always choose how to feel at any given moment and in any given circumstance. Nothing and no one can make you feel any way, or make you do anything that your mind does not accept as real, as true. This ideal is beautifully asserted in one of the most intellectually sound and spiritually insightful books I have ever read, “The Science of Mind.” by Ernest Holmes. It states:

“Nothing is real to us unless we make it real. Nothing can touch us unless we let it touch us. Refuse to have your feelings hurt. Refuse to receive anyone’s condemnation. In the independence of your own mentality, believe and feel that you are wonderful. This is not conceit, this is truth.”

Did you catch that last part? “…In the independence of your own mentality, believe and feel that you are wonderful.” With belief and feeling, you can make real what your mind conceives– any and everything it conceives. This is a choice. You are far more powerful than you know, so claim this power!

The way you claim this power is by choosing to be positive no matter what, by making a conscious choice to believe in your good when everything– people, circumstance, life events– appears to be in opposition to your good, by trusting and having faith that what is for your good can not be denied you, by forgiving others for your own sake, not because you are in the wrong, or even because it is deserved.

When you are able to master your mind– understanding that you are in control of all you experience by the nature and substance of your thinking and not at the whim of external influences– then and only then will you truly be free, free to experience all the beauty that this life has to offer because this positive energy will create a vibration and frequency that will attract to you the best of everything.Don’t take my word for it– just see what happens when you renew and transform your mind to think differently.
